Lou is a Hudson Valley native and has been a native to Hudson Valley radio for over twenty-six years!

Entertainment has always been in his blood, as he has trained professionally in voice, acting and a few musical instruments. If he had his way, he would probably have been on a reality show by now!! Maybe ‘Dancing With The Stars’? No dance lessons though…oh well.

Treating people fair, being nice and seeing someone smile is important to Lou. He genuinely cares about people. Most importantly, he is truly an animal lover, as he owns two dogs and they mean the world to him. He knows life is tough and he tries to make it sound a little better as he gets you through your day from 10am to 3pm everyweekday on Star 93.3.

If there is one belief he has, it’s that whatever you give out…comes back to you. So with that…enjoy life for all there is…you only have one! Above all…remember to be kind and love until it hurts.

I Love Summer!

I don’t know about you but I’m not ready to give up Summer just yet. Am I the only one…besides the kid’s…that gets depressed when I see a back to school commercial? I mean it’s bad enough that I have already received about THREE Fall catalogs already!!!! I understand that the kids need to get ready for school but I don’t want a Fall catalog just yet…not to mention a Halloween focused one…REALLY HALLOWEEN!!!!?? Sorry about my rant but after the Winters we have had over the past couple of years I would just like to enjoy the rest of Summer before I start shopping for Christmas…enjoy the rest of yours!

Bed Bugs & Stink Bugs & Tornados...OH MY!

Just yesterday I came to the realization that we are becoming; what I think, is overly concerned with things that we once never seemed to worry about. Take for instance…Bed Bugs! All we have heard for the last two months is Bed Bugs this and Bed Bugs that. Then just the other day I heard on the news that Stink Bugs are making a comeback! Really? I never knew they went away!! Even as I sit here today broadcasting to you my show, we are telling you there is a ‘Tornado Watch’. Let’s emphasize the WATCH part. Again…REALLY? Now don’t get me wrong, the Coldenham disaster many years ago was a tragic and heartbreaking event here in the Hudson Valley to say the least. Now I’m not a meteorologist but from what I remember of science class weather, atmosphere and terrain are important factors in increasing the chance for a Tornado. Here in the Hudson Valley...stressing the word Valley it's much, much less likely for one to occur than most of the rest of our country. I have actually lived here for over thirty years and only remember two Tornados that actually touched down and did anything…didn’t even call them Tornados from what I remember. Anyhow, I will always keep you up to date on the weather and any such pending doom. After all, that’s part of what they pay me for…keeping you up on important things. But the Bed Bugs and the Stink Bugs…I’ll leave that up to network television on their slow news days I guess. J

Why Everyone Should Love Their Pets

First off…let me tell you that I love my dog(s) more than life itself most of the time. At least they make it more enjoyable after a rough day or when you need something to calm you other than artificial means. Now, you’re probably saying…Wow! He’s a freak!! If you own a pet you wouldn’t be saying that…it’s kind of an unspoken understanding right? They are our children…even if you have children. Speaking of having kids, pets can also make an excellent distraction with the kids and an entertainment source when we need them to for a few minutes. I personally don’t have children but have seen this happen with friends and relatives enough to know they help out with our human children. Don’t get me wrong…pets are not always perfect but it’s the devotion that you can’t beat!! That’s why I always feel bad when I have to bring my dog to the vet for anything. Take for instance this Saturday when I have to bring him to have his yearly ‘physical’. Now I always say my dog is very smart…which most of the time he is…except when it comes to going to the vet. Why is it that they willingly get into the car and when we pull up to ‘Dr. Jerry’s’ office he is wagging his tail and excited when he should know what awaits him? After all, we have done this a hundred times and you think he’d remember what happens. Maybe it’s that he doesn’t have a problem with it…I’M THE ONE THAT DOES!! In any case, I know down inside that it’s the best for him and his health. So, with Spring here…a reminder to have your ‘little furry ones’ checked out and protected from all that the outdoors has to bring. Remember to love them unconditionally because that’s how they love you, even when situations aren’t always so pleasant...because I think they know it's best.
